Our Teaching Philosophy

Our Coaches
Our coaches at Leap Prep are equipped with years of educational experience and come from highly distinguished academia. Several of our coaches have been Leap Prep students themselves and have brought their own experience into crafting an engaging learning experience. Leap Prep coaches have diverse educational backgrounds with degrees in English, Education, Linguistics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Engineering, and Business. Many of our faculty are also passionate in extracurriculars such as orchestra, chess, theater, sports and have taken their leadership skills to enrich each students’ experience.

Leap Education is different from other prep schools I’ve attended in that Eileen takes the time to sit down and explain everything, offering extra resources in terms of books or additional problems if you ask her about it. The environment of Leap is more relaxing and open than the strict teacher-student relationship I have experienced elsewhere. Leap focuses on learning the material rather than brute force going through endless amounts of practice problems. This creates a less stressful learning environment and allows students to learn through focused strategies.

Leap Education helps prepare students for the next step in their lives. In an academic lens, Leap Education introduces new topics crucial for future exams or courses and/or reinforces ideas that are important to their future success. I took my SAT courses here and found them incredibly helpful. The practice tests and following explanations were repetitive, but were ample practice for the real deal. Additionally, by simulating a more casual classroom education, students feel better making mistakes than they would normally be. Mistakes happen and you have to learn from them. To me, this was the most important lesson from my time as a student. To further simulate this casual classroom environment, students can be as active as possible and avoid at-home distractions.
