When should students begin SHSAT prep?

It is our recommendation that students start preparing for the SHSAT as early as 6th grade and, if possible, continue the preparation throughout college application. Our group and one-on-one tutoring services are designed to encourage and cultivate each student”s unique talents and skills beyond just the entrance exam, supporting them through the college admissions process. Our goal at Leap Prep is to prepare students for academic and life success.

It is also completely understandable that preparing for the SHSAT can be overwhelming with so many factors to consider. Every student has their own unique situation, and it is important to take into account their academic level, areas needing extra attention, test performance, anxiety, motivation, potential learning disabilities, ability to focus, homework time, and the specific high schools they are applying to. It's a lot to think about, and at Leap, we're here to help you through it all.

When students join Leap, our coaches are dedicated to preparing them for academic success through positive reinforcement and by making optimistic life choices. For those who may be struggling or feeling anxious, we have coaches with expertise in psychology and counseling to provide the necessary support.  As part of our commitment to nurturing our students, we offer both academic and emotional support throughout our program.
